Our story
From our home to yours
In the summer of 2023, we purchased a beautiful property in Sunshine Bay, near Nelson, BC. With its established orchards, numerous varieties of nuts and an extensive forest system, it was the perfect place to call home.
Our goal is to steward this property in a way that builds upon this beautiful, diverse, and productive space that not only grows an abundance of nutritious and healthy food for ourselves and our community but also creates a balanced and biodiverse ecosystem that supports the local wildlife, trophic populations, and healthy microorganisms.
Future products will include homegrown delicious apples, plums and other fresh fruit, baked goods, compost and perennials as well as a selection of seed starts and flower arrangements.

About us
Gwen Davis
Gwen is a lover of plants and design. She loves creating beautiful spaces and bringing people’s visions alive. You may find her talking to the plants as she works, but we find that endearing and shows the level of care she puts into everything she does.
Gwen has certifications in horticulture and landscape design and specializes in spaces that incorporate beauty and natural habitat.
When not being green thumbed in the garden (which is not often) you may find her baking tasty treats, enjoying a good dog walk, painting or just straight up relaxing with a glass of wine on the beach of an evening.
Rich Newton
Rich is fascinated by soil health and regeneration. Having spent a good portion of his adult life in tourism, recreation and working with youth he is now enjoying a career in something just as rewarding. Making the move into creating regenerative landscapes is just the kind of challenge Rich thrives on, with the goal of creating solutions to issues such as climate change and site adaption, loss of biodiversity of flora and fauna, disrupted nutrient cycling processes and protecting and enhancing the micro world beneath our feet.
When not covered in soil with a silly grin on his face, you’ll find him out exploring, kayaking, fishing, hunting, tinkering on projects, but also most likely, sitting next to Gwen relaxing on a beach in the evening with a glass of wine and Gwen’s baking in hand.
